We have been so busy as of late, I hardly know where to start.
Well, first of all we’re moving! We got a new resident managing position with a different company. We are so excited for the opportunity. Frankly, it’s all I can think about. It’s twice the apartment space, a better neighborhood, two bathrooms with a soaker tub in the en suite, paid utilities, wood burning fireplace, two balconies…. The list goes one. Remember when you fell in love for the first time and you caught yourself writing your first name with your boyfriends last name? I find myself drawing diagrams of the apartment!
This will be our last month here and we’re sad about saying goodbye to the friends we’ve met here. It’s a shadier neighborhood then where we’re moving but the people in our building have been very friendly and welcoming when we took over from the old managers. I hope the tenants at the new place are as friendly. Who knows, maybe I can just kick them all out and bring my friends from this building with us!
Speaking of friends, the students from the bible college residence we lived in for a couple months are back in town since school is starting again! I am so excited to see everyone. I want to know how everyone is doing, what courses they’re taking. I want to know how their summer went, go for hot chocolate and just enjoy each other’s company again. I basked in the students innocence and joyful outlook on the world when we lived in the residence. They’re full of energy and hope and ambition! It’s intoxicating and contagious! I hope they all stay like that their whole lives. It’s an interesting time in their lives. Some of them are just starting out on their own without their parents. Their experiencing freedom for the first time and you can see the pure adrenaline of it in their smiles. Some of them have never been touched by real trials until college. It’s easier to go through trials when you’re living at home and surrounded by your family’s support. To be away from them is a trial all in it’s own, but to add anything more to that, a failed exam or course, a bad boyfriend experience, financial hardships, it can be a new opportunity to grow and develop that is as uncomfortable as a tight pair of jeans. (another thing all too familiar with college students!)
Hopefully I’ll be able to get in touch with some of my friends soon and have pictures to put up here. Jason is so excited to see everyone. I don’t think he realizes that the students being back in Calgary doesn’t necessarily mean the students will be back in our home! He’s about to be disappointed!
We just got back from a week long vacation to Washington to visit my family. It was a great visit, one of my favorites! The whole family was there since April and Robby have moved home. Their staying with Mom until they get settled although I think mom would like to have them there forever. If she could convince Chuck to let us move in as well, my mother’s life long dream will come true. After our visit though, I don’t think it would take much to convince Chuck. Once he was on the lake that is a part of the private community my parents live in, he was sold. It was beautiful! There are more shades of green in Washington then Crayola has yet to come up with! We had such a good time we didn’t want to come home. We wanted to stay on vacation for the rest of the eternities! Unfortunately, we haven’t found anyone willing to pay us to be on vacation yet. Let me know if you know of anyone with several millions of dollars willing to pay a man to stay home, take his children to the beach and spoil his wife. I haven’t yet found anything with that job description in any job search I’ve done recently.
Chuck is working on some great stuff at work and really enjoying his job. He works for a software company that makes interactive white boards. If anyone else out there finds it interesting, they use them on the TV show CSI. I personally find that really fascinating, but I’m a huge fan of the show!
Jason is in love with the Zoo and Heritage Park, still. Jocelyn is obsessed with anything in fur, puppies especially. We’ve got our eye on a lady in Edmonton that breeds and trains German Sheperds as police dogs. Their more expensive but they come trained and they’re the most beautiful dogs!

Hope you guys haven’t forgotten about me! Hehe.. I’m so glad to see you guys doing so well! I haven’t seen an update for so long, I knew something was up, and that a good entry was to follow! (And I was right! ^.^) ..It seems you guys are always moving around now! Makes it hard to keep in touch! Good thing email addresses and url’s don’t change with it!.. But seems you and I have something in common, as I am also moving out. (I’m sure you can come to your own conclusion about that one.. =\) But once you guys get settled in your new-new place, heh, we’ll have to get together. =)..Haven’t seen Jason or Jocelyn in a long long time now, but I’ve seen the pictures, and they both look much bigger! And of course still happy and healthy =) And I would love to catch up with both of you again, when you have the time of course =) See ya later =) *Hugz*
Ciao, T.
