Organized Trip Packing with Odeedoh

July 23rd, 2009 by Jen the Mom

I wish I had seen this when I was packing for our trip out here to Fairmont! I can’t believe how fantastic this would be. We’ve now been on vacation long enough that our suitcases are starting to look like one of the dogs jumped in and rolled around in everything. Now that I think about it, that might be exactly how the mess happened.

If I had known to use Odeedoh’s packing tip I wouldn’t have to worry about where the clothes are, worry if I have enough clean clothes or that our room will end up covered in a mish-mash of clean and dirty clothes.

    OdeedoH?that’s kinda goofy. hehe
But I’m interested in packing with more purpose and less mess tell me about it.

Looks like ziplock bags and a marker to me which is fine for baby clothes but I don’t think they make ziplocks big enough for my older kids let alone me. Just bring a laundry bag with you (or a safeway bag) and you will be able to keep the dirties separate from your cleans. Plus ziplocks tend to tear when handled roughly. Better for the environment if they were reusable.

I do however like the idea of knowing what everyone is wearing ahead of time, that way I’ll pack what I need. I tend to overpack, but then this is canada and it could snow in july.

Oh when are you guys back? Is this the real reason your party was “postponed”?

    Alyson,

Since Chuck postponed my party I am taking full advantage of being out here so we won’t be home until Saturday night.

    gma/my mom,

I’ll put a post together about packing with purpose. I think it’s a great idea with all the trips we take during the summer. Thanks for the idea!
