Desperately Seeking Sanity

May 21st, 2008 by Jen the Mom

I’m still desperately trying to keep my emotions in check and I’m trying to resemble a normal human being but I thought this might help.

Chuck and I are taking the kids on a month long vacation as soon as the baby is born. We’re going to let the kids play on the beach, let Chuck read all the books he can carry and I’m going to let my body recuperate while laying in a hammock in the sun with my baby girl. That image is what’s keeping the lid on this emotional boiling inferno.

I thought pictures might help too so here’s where we’re going. I also thought the pictures might excite my family members that are coming out to join us. For as long as we’re there, you’re welcome to stay with us. We’d love the company! But the hammock is mine.

What a beautiful and relaxing spot. You’re so close Jen – I can’t imagine how anxious you are to have this behind you and to have your little girl in your arms instead of in your belly! :) My thoughts are with you and I’m sure it will be a great experience and that it will happen soon. In the meantime, I can’t imagine a nicer way to recuperate from having the baby than to retreat with your family to this lovely spot. Where is it?

    Hi Jen,

Hannah had our baby this morning. 9 lbs of perfection. Mom and the little man are doing fine.

    Now it’s your turn…

    Best,
    Michael
