Another trip to Riley Park today.
Today was a lot of fun. Chuck’s mother met Nichole and I at Riley Park and almost all the cousins came today. We had Belinda’s daughter Gracie, as well as Karleen’s boys Justin and Josh. It was a great family activity! It was also nice to end up sitting next to a group that had a huge blowup caterpillar for the kids to play on. Now most normal children would take the toy into the water and play on it. They’d naturally want to flip it over and throw each other off of it, but not our kids. Jason and Lochlan especially sat on that caterpillar right where it was, in the grass, and bounced on it to their hearts content. It’s funny how children are interested in things you’d assume they would be but they never do what you expect with it.
The other fun thing for Nichole and I was when the owner of the caterpillar toy started actively hitting on us. A very nice guy visiting from Ft. Lauderdale who obviously has phenomenal taste in everything from pool toys to pool accessories such as Nichole and I! There’s nothing like being hit on while pasty skinned and in your bathing suit to give a girl a smile! He asked if I was single and when Nichole told him I was married…to her brother, he asked about her! You have to admire a man for his persistence.
There’s some great pictures of the kids from Riley Park. There’s pictures of Jason climbing all over the play park.
In other news…
Both Jason and Jocelyn have become such climbers. I had to put Jocelyn in the playpen instead of the crib because she was climbing out of it just after she turned a year! She’s still so tiny I can’t imagine putting her in a toddler bed. There’s some great shots of Jocelyn’s baby model pictures. Well, not really but she sure is a beautiful girl, if I do say so myself…and I do!
Because we’re so busy during the summer I’m updating the pictures file almost weekly so be sure to come back for more pictures of what we’re doing. Tomorrow we have a Canada Day barbecue to go to at family friends’ house. She use to be my visiting teacher in an old ward. She’s a great woman that I really love and respect but that’s a different journal entry entirely.
