When I went to bed last night the view out of my window was of an Autumn landscape. There were few leaves in the trees but the ones that were holding on were red, orange and yellow. The grass has all turned brown and the bushes have lost their bushiness. It was actually a very beautiful autumn scene. I have said before that I love this time of year. What I don’t love is living somewhere with such unpredictable weather.
This is what I woke up to.

This my family, playing in the snow this morning. We made snow men. We built a snow fort and we tossed around some snow balls. We haven’t made snow angels yet though so that’s on my to do list for this afternoon!
How is it possible that my neighborhood can turn from reds, browns and yellows into white all in one night. Everything is covered! The roads are bad enough that I’m not going anywhere although I’m a pansy when it comes to winter driving.
I also don’t like getting cold or wet so there aren’t any pictures of my playing in the snow. I took a couple pictures and ran back into safety. I made something warm for everyone to eat when they came back inside though so I was thinking of my family while I was ignoring their pleas for me to join them. It’s too nice by the fire and it’s too slippery and wet out there.
The kids had a great time though! Can you tell?

oh my gosh these are the most beautiful children in the world.
I love the snow, but I’m glad it’s not here at the moment.
Crazy! There should be a rule…no snow until after Halloween! I can’t believe how much Josie looks like jason in that photo, and I love little Laurelyn looking so happy!!
What beautiful pics! The kids look like they had a ball!
